布依族 Buyi
The Buyi are one of China’s ancient ethnic groups, living mainly in the mountainous and river valley regions of Guizhou Province. For thousands of years, they have cultivated rice and maintained a rich agricultural tradition, preserving their history, legends, and customs through folk songs passed down from generation to generation.
Buyi culture is celebrated for its picturesque waterside villages, bronze drum traditions, and exquisite indigo batik craftsmanship. Their traditional indigo-dyed clothing, adorned with delicate embroidery, is known for its simple elegance and timeless beauty.
