The Peace Tower Affordable Housing

The Peace Tower was built as an affordable housing project under the leadership of the Winnipeg Chinatown Development (1981) Corporation.  The building is located on 260 Princess Street, at the corner of Logan Avenue.

The land for the building was acquired from the CentreVenture Development Corporation, and financing for the construction was obtained from the Manitoba Housing and Renewal Corporation in June 2011. The Peace Tower Housing Corporation was formed with the following founding Board members:

• Dr. Patrick Choy, Vice-President
• Mr. Terry Prychitko, Honorary Secretary/Treasurer
• Mr. David Cheop, Honorary Solicitor
• Dr. Yuewen Gong, Ms Debbie Guo, Mr. Ben Lee, Ms Malinda Lee, Ms Jade Wang, Board Members.

Mr. Raymond Wan was appointed as the Architect for the project, and Concord was selected as the General Contractor.  The Peace Tower consists of 48 suites, with 6 one-bedroom suites, 24 two-bedroom suits, 6 two-bedroom mobility suites, and 12 three-bedroom suites.  Total cost of the building was about $15 million. The building utilizes advanced geothermal heating and air-conditioning.  Contraction started in the fall of 2011, and the building was completed for occupancy in March 2013.  The building was officially opened by the Hon. Philip Lee, Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba, and the Hon Greg Selinger, Premier of Manitoba, on June 21, 2013.

Subsequent to the official opening, the founding Board of the Peace Tower was dissolved, and a new Board formed for the management of the building. Currently, the Peace Tower is professionally managed by the Armour Management (204-515-5411), under the direction and guidance of the Board. The composition of the current Board is as follows:

• Mr. Ben Lee, Board member
• Mr. Philip Lee, Board member
• Ms Malinda Lee, Board member

和平大厦 – 经济适用住房项目

和平大厦是在温城华埠发展协会的领导下建成的一个经济适用住房项目。该建筑位于Princess街道和Logan街道交汇处。

和平大厦的土地是从CentreVenture Development Corporation公司获得，大厦的资金于2011年6月由Manitoba Housing and Renewal Corporation提供。和平大厦的创始董事会组成：
