赫哲族Hezhe
The Hezhe are one of China’s smallest ethnic groups, living along the rivers of Heilongjiang Province in northeastern China. For generations, they have relied on fishing and hunting for their livelihood, preserving their history, traditions, and way of life through folk ballads passed down from one generation to the next.
Hezhe culture is deeply connected to the region’s rivers and waterways. Traditionally, their clothing was crafted from fish skin and animal hides, demonstrating remarkable ingenuity and adaptation to their natural environment. Adorned with simple carvings and delicate embroidery, these distinctive garments reflect the Hezhe people’s close relationship with the rivers and their enduring fishing heritage.
赫哲族是中国人口较少的民族之一，主要生活在黑龙江流域沿岸。世世代代以来，他们以捕鱼和狩猎为生，并通过民歌和口头故事传承民族历史。
