2026 Chinatown Night Market – Lucky Duck Festival
WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Chinese Cultural and Community Centre (WCCCC) is excited to announce the return of its annual Chinatown celebration—now reimagined as the 2026 Lucky Duck Festival. Formerly known as the Winnipeg Chinatown Night Market, the festival will take place on September 12 and 13, 2026, at 180 King Street in the heart of Winnipeg’s Chinatown.
Building on the success of previous years, the Lucky Duck Festival will continue to bring together the best of Chinatown with delicious food, live entertainment, local vendors, family-friendly activities, and exciting new attractions for visitors of all ages.
One of this year’s biggest attractions will be a giant inflatable Yellow Duck, offering a fun photo opportunity for visitors of all ages. Guests can also enjoy a wide variety of popular street food, shop from artisan and local vendors, experience live cultural and cross-cultural performances, and cheer on contestants in the popular Dumpling Eating Challenge.
The Lucky Duck Festival will also host a Canadian Citizenship Ceremony on Sunday, September 13, welcoming Canada’s newest citizens as part of this community celebration. Visitors can also enjoy a Duck Race, adding another fun and interactive experience for families. Together, these highlights reflect celebrating both community spirit and Canada’s cultural diversity.
“The 2026 Lucky Duck Festival is a celebration of culture, community, and connection,” said Raymond Wan, President of WCCCC. “We invite everyone to experience the vibrant atmosphere of Chinatown, support local businesses and vendors, and enjoy everything the festival has to offer.”
Throughout the weekend, visitors can explore family-friendly activities, discover unique cultural displays, and experience the diversity that makes Winnipeg’s Chinatown a vibrant community.
