为更好的服务曼尼托巴省侨胞及留学生办理护照、旅行证及《在境外居住人员领取养老金资格审核表》，驻多伦多总领馆的领事们利用休假日亲临温城中华文化中心办公，并由温城中华文化中心众多训练有素的志愿者们协助办理。
This year, consuls from Chinese Consulate Toronto Office came to Winnipeg Chinese Cultural and Community Centre(WCCCC) on April 29-30, 2017, to provide Chinese / HongKong Passport renewal service for Chinese Immigrants and students in Manitoba.
According to the Chinese regulations, the renewal of the passport must be applied in person at the Chinese Consulate office. Since there is no Chinese Consulate office in Manitoba, Chinese immigrants and students in Manitoba have to travel to Toronto to renew the passport.
In view of the increasing number of Chinese citizens living in Manitoba, the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Toronto sent officials to Winnipeg to accept applications twice a year to serve the Manitoban Chinese.
由于4月30号的300个预约名额在短短几日内爆满，总领馆为了给更多的同胞们提供方便，先是增开了100个名额，又增加了4月29号一天办公时间，再次增开150个名额。
The WCCCC provided its office space, facilities, staffs and volunteers to help out this community service event. The consuls processed almost 500 applications within one and half days. The Consuls appreciated the help from the Centre and commented that the mission was a great success.
此次活动人数远超往年，领事们为了保证每一位侨胞都能够获得便利的服务，放弃自己双休日的休息时间，赶着周六一大早的飞机来到温尼伯。同时，温城中华文化中心的志愿者们在办公室经理Amy的带领下，经过一个月的准备，反复核对场地布置、活动流程、人员分配以及资料细节，保证整个过程的通畅，以协助领事们办公。
Since the number of applications is far more than previous years, consuls gave up their weekend for applicants’ convenience. Also, in order to better assist the consuls, volunteers used one month to prepare and affirm the site layout, activity process, personnel assignment and the detail of application materials with WCCCC office manager Amy’s lead.

考虑等候人员过多，文化中心为大家准备了饮水和座位。

中心在活动开始时便整理了各项证件办理所需资料细则，分别放在网站上和微信上，并示以图例，为办理人提供便利。现场，受过培训的志愿者正在为大家提供初步审核，检查办理人所带资料是否正确，减少领事们的工作量。

志愿者们各司其职，并为办理人提供指引，整个活动在他们的协助下，有条不紊的进行着。
周六的办理一直持续到很晚才结束，为了感谢领事们为了曼省侨胞不辞辛苦的付出，温城中华文化中心于金冠酒楼宴请领事们。
The first day service on Saturday ended around 7pm. Winnipeg Chinese Cultural and Community Centre entertained consuls for their Convenience Service for Chinese Immigrants and students in Manitoba.

休息一晚之后，第二天周日一大早便开始了办公，又是紧张的忙到了傍晚。
经过统计，不过短短一天半，几位领事共为近500人办理了相关证件，整个过程紧张而忙碌，这样的工作效率真是难以想象。

第二天活动后多伦多总领馆证件组宴请温城中华文化中心及志愿者代表，对此次活动进行总结，并对未来的活动进行友好沟通，希望双方以后能更好的合作，为曼省侨胞提供便利。
